13 Macbook Pro i5 16GB Ram 500GB Harddrive Excellent Condition in Muizenberg, Western Cape for sale
This is the exact same 13 inch Macbook Pro being sold in stores right now for R15,999 but with 16GB Ram instead of the 4GB it comes with from Apple. The Ram was professionally upgraded and none of the screws were stripped, lost or over tightened in the process.
I am still very happy with the machine and took very good care of it, I am needing to switch away from Mac for work, not because I prefer to.
The machine is in excellent condition very well taken care of. The screen has no scratches, like new. The Keyboard & Deck also look great, almost like new, as does the top of it when you close it. At arms length the entire thing looks flawless, in part because I took very good care of it and in part because it is all glass and aluminium so the materials are hard and durable and do not wear with age like plastic laptops do. The charger is in very good condition but you can see that it is used because it usually resides on the floor and it is made out of shiny plastic. The bottom of the laptop has a few very small scratches thinner than a hair and not deep, but you need to look close to see them. This is just from normal use, the laptop touching things as it rests on them.
I can confirm that everything works 100%, USB, Webcam, Bluetooth, Speakers, Audio Jack, DVD Drive, Wifi, HDMI with surround audio through display port connector (adapter not included). The only thing I never used was Thunderbolt, but the connector works 100% for video so there is no reason to think that anything is wrong with it
I had it just over a year and it never gave me any problems. I never dropped it. It runs nice and fast. I would run several virtual machines at a time without slowing it down. It can even do some light gaming, Starcraft II runs very well.
If you got this and put an SSD in it you will have a very powerful content creation machine for years to come, my wife has a machine identical to this one with a SSD and it runs Photoshop & Premiere very well. Obviously they will run on a Hard Drive but you have the option to make that upgrade later and really see it fly.
With the Retina & Air Apple have moved away from user up-gradable laptops, so any apple laptops you buy after this model, you will not be able to upgrade to 16GB of Ram unless you buy it that way from Apple (go price that out, I dare you). You will also not be able to install a larger SSD later, you will need to buy the laptop up front with all the Ram & Storage you ever want. This laptop on the other hand takes any standard 2.5 inch SSD so you can put a 1TB SSD in there any time you want.
